At the Great Achievers Network, our commitment to empowering young girls extends beyond the classroom. We believe that access to education should never be hindered by basic necessities. In pursuit of this belief, GAN recently organized a heartwarming visit to Chaisa Combined School in Lusaka, Zambia, where we distributed sanitary towels to less privileged girl learners. This visit, graced by GAN’s founder, Mrs. Chitoshi Lweendo, Bernard Wino (Chairperson) and others, was a significant step towards supporting the menstrual hygiene needs of these girls and ensuring they can focus on their education without any barriers.

The distribution of sanitary towels is a crucial aspect of GAN’s commitment to holistic support for girl learners. We understand that for many of these girls, managing menstruation can be a significant challenge. Lack of access to sanitary products can lead to missed school days, reduced self-esteem, and limited opportunities. GAN aims to change this narrative by ensuring that these girls have these necessary resources.
