At GAN, our mission is to empower young girls with the tools and skills they need to shape their futures. We recently hosted an exciting entrepreneurship training session designed to inspire and equip the girls with essential business knowledge and practical skills.

The session kicked off with an engaging introduction to entrepreneurship. The girls learned what it means to be an entrepreneur, the steps involved in starting a business, and the qualities that make a successful entrepreneur. Our goal was to instill a sense of confidence and ambition, showing the girls that they have the potential to create their own opportunities.

We covered important topics like identifying business ideas, creating business plans, and understanding the basics of finance and marketing. The girls participated actively, asking questions and sharing their ideas. It was heartening to see their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.

To make the training even more impactful, we included a practical skills-building workshop on pedicure and manicure techniques. This hands-on session aimed to provide the girls with a tangible skill that could serve as a source of income. The girls learned how to perform professional pedicures and manicures, including the art of fitting artificial nails. Our experienced instructors guided them through each step, ensuring they gained confidence and competence in their new skills.

The atmosphere was lively and filled with excitement as the girls practiced on each other, sharing tips and techniques. The workshop not only equipped them with a valuable skill but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. The girls left the session with beautifully manicured nails and a newfound sense of accomplishment.

We believe that by teaching these practical skills, we are helping the girls become more self-reliant and economically independent. Whether they choose to start their own nail care business, offer services within their communities, or use these skills to support themselves while continuing their education, the possibilities are endless.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the training was witnessing the transformation in the girls’ attitudes. They started the day with curiosity and a bit of nervousness, but by the end, they were brimming with confidence and excitement about their future prospects.
